Outdoor therapy for depression

This view is from a bridge I cross on most days. However, I’ve not always appreciated the view. It’s just after I took my photography seriously is when I discovered this little gem. I’m sure lots of people who cross the bridge, do not realise how beautiful the landscape is. What makes it even more extraordinary is that, it’s situated in a busy residential district of a large city.
As someone who suffers from chronic depression. At times, when I was in a really low mood, I wouldn’t notice nature. Depression makes you feel constant sadness, lose interest in life, experience loneliness and have suicidal thoughts. Fortunately, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. During my darkest times, it’s the worst feeling in the whole entire world.
That’s all in the past now and I think it’s an issue everyone goes through. Really is amazing how we’re designed to overcome it, no matter how bleak your future is. The outdoors is such a great remedy for mental health problems and I cannot stress enough how important it is to go for a walk or cycle along the countryside, even for 30 mins, in a regular basis.
