ben lomond
Ben Lomond, the most southerly of the Munros. This was my the first ever Munro!! I’ve summited the mountain 5 times and it’s one of those remarkable mountains you could climb over and over again!!
Glen coe
On the evening of the Summer Solstice, I drove to Glen Coe to set my tent up there. What a beautiful night it was and following day’s hike was looking promising. This is the first time I’ve celebrated Summer Solstice in the outdoors and it certainly will not be the last time. Camping is a new found hobby and if it’s a lovely night I can just head for the hills to enjoy reconnecting with nature again.
loch etive
A couple sailing along Loch Etive appear to be appreciating the joys and the natural beauty of Glen Etive!!!
loch morlich
This was captured on a summer’s evening while camping at Loch Morlich. The most beautiful reflections I’ve ever seen at a loch!!!
Pap of glencoe – loch leven
There are few places in my life that I’ve found more ruggedly beautiful than the Highlands of Scotland. The place is magical – it’s so far north, so remote, that sometimes it feels like you’ve left this world and gone to another.” – Julia London
Loch lomond from Dumgoyne
This was captured at Dumgoyne on New Year’s Eve 2019. It was a perfect way to end the last day of the decade with watching a very beautiful sunset over Loch Lomond!!!
Dumgoyne
Dumgoyne is a hill prominent on the edge of the Campsie Fells and is a well-known landmark visible from Glasgow. It is a volcanic plug and is 1,401 ft high. The plug is reached from a path beside Glengoyne Distillery or via a track from the village of Blanefield 3 miles to the east or Killearn to the west.
SSE Hydro
A digitally edited version of the SSE Hydro (amphitheatre) in Glasgow
Loch Muick
A picture from my epic hike on the Lochnagar and the 5 White Mounth Munros circuit. I was pleasantly surprised in the evening with seeing outstanding views of Loch Muick!!
Beinn Dòrain
Beinn Dòrain is one of the most instantly recognisable Munros in the southern Highlands, a huge conical peak that dominates the A82 when driving north from Tyndrum.
Luss Hills from Drymen
A view of Grahams at Luss Hills!! Perhaps not as dramatic and breathtaking as neighbouring mountain range the Arrochar Alps. Though, even at around 2000ft altitude, they still make an enjoyable day out on the hills and are stunning nonetheless!!
Clachnaharry
I snapped this at Clachnaharry, a former fishing village, now part of the city of Inverness. The Caledonian Canal begins at Clachnaharry, connecting to the Beauly Firth via a sea lock
